Gregg Cantor: President/CEO
Gregg began working for Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel in 1977 completing job site clean up. After spending a year as a carpenter’s helper in 1978, Gregg concentrated on his education majoring in business. In 1983, he was hired as assistant superintendent and quickly took on a large workload of kitchen and bathroom projects. Within a year, Gregg was promoted to superintendent and in 1985 to Head Superintendent. In 1990, Gregg’s grandfather Murray retired, and he took over as President. Over the years, Gregg has been responsible for managing approximately 2000 projects.
Outside of Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel, Gregg is active in both the local and National Better Business Bureau, serving as a director. He also serves on the Independent Council of Citizens Board for the San Diego Unified School District bond to improve our schools.
In his spared time, Gregg enjoys staying fit by running and cross training. He also enjoys family time, high school sports, Chargers and Padres.
Lisa Cantor: CFO
Gregg met Lisa in November of 1988 and they were married in April 1990. In 1994 Lisa started helping out in the office answering phones and within a couple of years she eventually took over the bookkeeping and finances.
Outside of Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel, Lisa has volunteered in many capacities and currently focuses her energy at Patrick Henry High School (Academic Booster, Foundation, Baseball & Football Boosters and staff support.)
When she gets a chance Lisa enjoys visiting their daughter at Miami University in Ohio, watching their son play sports, cooking, family time and their three dogs (Lucy, Fred & Ethel).
Steve Law: Project Manager
Steve Law joined Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel in July of 1999. Prior job experience includes working for a construction company specializing in the installation of acoustic ceilings, managing a local tow truck company and building his own custom home.
Steve graduated from Castle Park High School in Chula Vista and attended college for 3 years in San Diego. He has a great balance of hands on construction experience, communication skills and management.
Married to Leticia, his wife of eleven years, Steve has two great children. His interests include hiking, snowboarding, football and of course just hanging out with the family.
Frank Piermarini: Architect
Frank Piermarini has been our lead designer since 2004. Frank graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 and in 2009 passed the California Architect’s Exam. Frank has almost 10 years of experience in residential Design/Build Remodeling and is a practical, detail oriented designer, knowledgeable with Federal, State and Local codes. Our ability to obtain permits easily through the local building departments is due to the comprehensive plans and specifications created by Frank. Having a standardized system streamlines the process for our project managers and trades to build on time, on budget and at the highest standards.
In his spare time, Frank enjoys hiking, surfing and running.
Joe Nelson: Senior Design Consultant
Joe Nelson has been with Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel for over 20 years. We like to call him our “Seasoned Residential Designer.” Joe started in the construction field many years ago as a kitchen designer and has worked his way up to be one of the leading remodel designers in the industry. He has designed countless additions; his two story designs making him prominent in his field. Joe likes to say, “It’s the Murray Lampert Package” that makes all this work, just before he explains his availability, seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Joe is a skillful listener and works well with all.
Jon Saltz: Senior Design Consultant
Jon joined the Murray Lampert team in January 2003. He holds a master’s degree in educational technology and worked as an instructional designer in the world of high-tech corporate training before making a career switch to construction, which he learned in the field as an apprentice carpenter. His lifelong passion for architecture made the decision to change careers an easy one.
Jon began working for Murray Lampert as a project manager and quickly became a residential designer. One of the first things he did in his new position was to use his background in educational technology to help streamline the company’s documentation.
Outside work, Jon is interested in music, furniture making and vintage cars and motorcycles. He has volunteered on several Habitat for Humanity projects and also takes an active role in raising his two young children (ages 2 1/2 and 1).
Ben Weiss: Design Consultant
I have been space planning and designing custom cabinets for over ten years.
Each home and each customer’s needs are unique. With kitchen, bathroom and home addition projects there are so many options to choose from. I am able to customize the look, function and feel of a design through the use of pictures and 3D images to show our clients what their finished product will look like. I will guide our customers to solutions that will meet their needs always keeping their budget in mind.
I pride myself on timely follow-up throughout the entire client experience. I always strive to deliver a unique design solution that exceeds the client’s expectations.
D’Ann Good: Service/Community Relations
D’Ann joined Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel in December 2009 working in Customer Service and Community Relations. She has worked in various fields supporting both client and employee development for the past 10 years. D’Ann acquired her Associates Degree in 2003 from CBS, Houston. She recently relocated to the San Diego area from Corpus Christi, Texas. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Trish Barbera: Customer Service/Community Relations
Trish became a part of the Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel team in 2004, bringing with her an extensive background in customer service and office management. She now heads our administrative/customer service team and oversees our special projects.
Trish’s interests include photography, painting, music, hiking, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
